Warning Do NOT Break the pasta!
Pasta for one
- Large pot
- Saute Pan
- Carving fork
1. 1 serving of Trey’s Italian sauce
2. 8 oz is a serving Pasta Measure long strand pasta with your hand
3. 1 oz of Table Salt
Have the sauce on a low heat simmering. Heat a large pot of water till it is a rolling boil. Yes on High with the pot covered. Add 1 oz or 28 grams of table salt to the boiling water. The water needs to be as salty as the sea. If you are cooking long pasta like spaghetti or fettuccine fan the pasta around the pot so it does not stick together. Once it is cooking give it a stir making sure it is not sticking together. It will take a min of 5 min. Check it periodically. The way to eat pasta is Al dente or to the tooth. When the pasta is Al dente strain it and add it to the sauce. Cook and stir till all the pasta is coated in sauce. Think how a salad should be dressed. Take off heat plate and garnish with some Parmigiano-Reggiano. The best way to plate the pasta is a large fork or a 2 prong fork that is used for carving. Twirl it up in the saute pan and put it in the center of the plate.
Note: Dried Pasta will take more time than fresh.
